STATEMENT AND PURPOSE of the PRESCHOOL AT WAR MEMORIAL PARK
The Preschool at War Memorial Park is committed to providing a warm secure environment as well as stimulating and challenging daily activities to aid in the total development of the young child. We do this through age appropriate activities that encourage each child ‘s growth – emotionally, socially, intellectually, physically.
Our objective is to provide each child with a positive first experience away from parents and help them gain self-confidence in group situations.
Our program incorporates
Art, Crafts, Music, Literature, Science, Language Arts, Large and Small Group Activities, Weekly or Bi-weekly themes, Small Muscle Activities, Creative Large Muscle Activities, and Outside Play
Regular program outlines keep parents fully informed of school activities.
In order to keep up with the changing needs of our community, we have changed the days and times of our preschool for the 07-08 school year. Our 3-year old program will continue to emphasize recreation, socialization, and education and will be held in the mornings as noted below. Our 4/5-year old pre-k program will be based on the book Creative Curriculum for Preschools.
The Preschool at War Memorial Park is an 8-month program (mid-September through mid-May) and is held in the multi-purpose room of the War Memorial Park Bathhouse.
2008-09 School Year Information
Three-year-olds - Tuesday & Thursday mornings 9:00-11:30am $100 monthly
Three-year-olds - Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings 9:00-11:30am $125 monthly
Four-year-olds - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons 12:15-2:45pm $150 monthly
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $20 and a one-time supply fee of $30.
